Check a thought before you believe it.
ThoughtCheck is an app that helps autistic people notice unhelpful thoughts, name the pattern, and rewrite them more fairly. It works for any feeling, not only anxiety.
Why it exists
Sometimes your mind fills in a sentence for you, the way a phone auto-completes a message. "They didn't reply, so they must be mad at me." It feels true, but nobody has checked it yet.
ThoughtCheck gives you a short, clear way to check it. Every step is the same each time, uses plain words, and can be skipped.
How a thought check works
- What happenedWrite the facts only.
- How you feelTap a feeling. Hints help if you're not sure.
- The thoughtWrite it as one sentence.
- The patternPick the thinking pattern it fits, like "mind reading" or "all-or-nothing".
- The evidenceList facts for it and facts against it.
- A fairer thoughtSomething you can actually believe.
- Feel againRate the feeling again and see what changed.
- SaveKeep it and see your patterns over time.
Example
They must be mad at me.
They haven't replied yet. People are often busy. I don't know how they feel.
The thought check is free
- Every thought check is free, with no limit.
- Help is never locked, so it's there on a bad day.
- No ads, no timers, no pressure.
